Iran Meeting to Protest Arrest of Female Journalists

Iranian women attend a meeting of the Association of Iranian Journalists to protest the arrest of Maryam Hossienkhah and Jelveh Javaheri, two Iranian women rights activist who are in Evin prison, in Tehran on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007.
Hossienkhah, a journalist and member of the Women's Cultural Center, and an active member of the One Million Signatures Campaign was arrested Nov. 18, 2007.
Javaheri, a member of the One Million Signatures Campaign, and a regular writer for the site of Change for Equality (official website of the One Million Signature Campaign), was arrested in Dec. 1, 2007, after an interrogation session at the security branch of the Revolutionary Courts.
