Valentine's Day as celebrated at White Castle in New York City, NY., on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006. White Castle provided decorations, mood music, and table service from their standard menu. Reservations were required, and the reserved section was filled to capacity. This was the first time that Valentine's Day dinner was offered at White Castle in Manhattan. Barry and Norma Klau live in Uptown Manhattan and have been married for 40 years. Norma used to talk about wanting to go to a fancy restaurant rather than be served White Castle. "We've really been looking forward to this. It's a great idea." Says Barry. "If they keep doing this, we'll be regulars." Norma stated, "You never forget where you started, we used to go on dates to White Castle. We are New Yorkers through and through, from Brooklyn and Queens."
